Academy House has been designed around comfortable, independent living — with shared spaces that bring residents together when they want them, and stay out of the way when they don’t.
Reception & Concierge A spacious entrance and reception area is home to the Property Concierge — your first point of contact for anything to do with the day-to-day running of the building, and a familiar, friendly face for new residents finding their way around.
Residents’ Lounge A large communal lounge with TV and internet access, perfect for social get-togethers, club meetings, or simply a change of scenery.
Kitchen & Salon A shared kitchen supports events in the lounge, and an on-site salon means hairdressers and similar visiting services can be booked without leaving the building.
Lifts & Access Three lifts serve the first and second floors, alongside the necessary statutory emergency arrangements — so getting around the building is straightforward at any stage of life.
Parking Every apartment and cottage comes with its own designated, off-road parking space, with additional visitor spaces for guests. There’s also secure storage for bicycles and mobility scooters, plus a separate store for waste disposal.
Grounds The estate backs directly onto Cantley Park and includes its own well-maintained grounds, cared for on a regular basis so they always look their best.
What’s not included — and why that matters Academy House is designed for independent living, not care. That means personal welfare or care services aren’t part of what’s on offer here — and it’s a deliberate choice, not an oversight. It keeps costs down for everyone and keeps the focus on residents who want to live their own lives on their own terms, with support close by if they simply need a hand finding their feet.
